Terms of Service

Welcome to ResumeFix. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ResumeFix website at https://resumefix.pro and all related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by ResumeFix ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.

2. Description of Service

ResumeFix is an AI-powered service that helps users enhance their resumes and create related professional content, including but not limited to:

  • Rewriting resume bullet points as achievements
  • Improving conciseness and removing filler content
  • Adapting resumes for LinkedIn profiles
  • Generating cover letters
  • Optimizing resumes for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
  • Customizing resumes for specific job descriptions

The Service uses third-party artificial intelligence technology (Anthropic Claude) to process your input and generate suggestions.

3. Accounts

3.1 Anonymous Use

You may use the Service without creating an account, subject to a limit of three (3) free uses per IP address. This limit is enforced server-side and may not be circumvented.

3.2 Account Creation

To purchase credit packs or receive a registration bonus, you must create an account using a valid email address via Google OAuth or email magic link authentication.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately at support@resumefix.pro of any unauthorized access.

3.4 Account Bonus

Upon first registration, your account receives one (1) bonus credit. This bonus is granted once per user and is non-transferable.

4. Credits and Payments

4.1 Credit System

The Service operates on a credit-based model. Each enhancement consumes one or more credits depending on the mode selected:

  • Standard modes (Strong Wording, Conciseness, LinkedIn, Cover Letter, ATS Optimization): 1 credit per use
  • Customize For This Role: 2 credits per use

4.2 Credit Packs

Credits may be purchased in packs through our payment processor and Merchant of Record, 2Checkout (Verifone). Current packs and pricing are displayed on the Service. Prices may change at any time, but already-purchased credits retain their value.

4.3 Payments

All payments are processed by Verifone Payments B.V. (doing business as 2Checkout), our Merchant of Record. By making a purchase, you agree to 2Checkout's (Verifone's) terms and conditions. As Merchant of Record, 2Checkout (Verifone) handles applicable VAT and sales taxes.

4.4 Credit Expiration

Purchased credits do not expire and remain available in your account until used.

4.5 No Subscription

The Service operates on a one-time purchase model. There are no recurring subscriptions or automatic charges.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued only in cases of technical failure on our side that prevents you from using purchased credits. Specifically:

  • If the Service is unavailable for an extended period (more than 48 consecutive hours) and your credits could not be used, you may request a partial or full refund proportional to unused credits.
  • If a paid enhancement returns an error or no result due to our technical fault, the consumed credits will be restored to your account, or, at your option, refunded.

Refunds are not provided for:

  • Dissatisfaction with the AI-generated output (output quality is inherently subjective and not guaranteed)
  • Credits already consumed through successful enhancements
  • Change of mind after purchase

Refund requests must be sent to support@resumefix.pro within 14 days of the original transaction. We will respond within 5 business days. Refunds, when approved, are processed by 2Checkout (Verifone) back to the original payment method.

EU/EEA users: This policy is in addition to your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law. Where applicable consumer law provides stronger protections, those protections apply.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or violates third-party rights
  • Submit resumes or personal data belonging to other individuals without their consent
  • Attempt to bypass usage limits, rate limits, or anti-abuse mechanisms
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or programmatically access the Service in violation of these Terms
  • Use the Service to generate misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent professional content
  • Submit prompts intended to extract or manipulate the underlying AI system
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Service outputs without permission

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of unused credits.

7. AI-Generated Content

7.1 Nature of Output

The Service generates content using artificial intelligence. AI output may contain inaccuracies, factual errors, or unsuitable phrasing. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying any output before using it.

7.2 No Guarantees

We do not guarantee that AI-generated content will:

  • Help you obtain a job interview or employment
  • Pass any specific Applicant Tracking System
  • Match any particular employer's preferences
  • Be free from errors or bias

7.3 Ownership

You retain all rights to your input (resumes, job descriptions, etc.). You also own the AI-generated output produced from your input, subject to the limitations of applicable law regarding AI-generated content.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described therein.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, branding, and content (excluding user-submitted content and AI output), is the property of ResumeFix and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these elements without our written permission.

10. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers:

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) for content generation
  • Supabase for data storage and authentication
  • 2Checkout (Verifone) for payment processing
  • Google for OAuth authentication (if used)

Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms of these third parties for the data they process on our behalf.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUMEFIX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOST OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, including consumer protection laws applicable to your jurisdiction.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResumeFix, its affiliates, and personnel from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service in violation of applicable law.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Unused credits may be forfeited in cases of Terms violations.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion requests can be sent to support@resumefix.pro.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the competent courts of Ukraine, except where applicable consumer protection law of your country of residence requires otherwise.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
